Adult Fitness Classes:
Community Services and Parks offers a NEW YOGA class at the library on Saturdays, along with long-standing favorite, Zumba Fitness!
YOGA by Yoga Circle
In this class, we’ll use postures (Asanas) to stretch, tone and strengthen the entire skeletal system, working not only the body’s frame but the internal organs, glands and nerves as well. Breathing exercises (pranayama) will refresh and cleanse the body and help to control the mind. The union (yoga) of these two forces (Asana and Pranayama) will release physical and mental tension, liberating vast resources of energy with increased mental power, clarity and concentration. This practice over time will bring your being into peak physical and mental condition. Student should bring their own mats or mats are available for $25 on the first day of class.

ZUMBA FITNESS at CHEVY CHASE LIBRARY
Zumba combines high energy and motivating music with unique dance moves. Zumba is a “feel‐happy” workout that is great for both the body and the mind. Zumba is a fusion of Latin and International music with dance themes that create a dynamic, exciting,
eﬀective ﬁtness system! The routines feature aerobic/ﬁtness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body. Zumba utilizes the principles of ﬁtness interval training and resistance training to maximize caloric output, fat burning and total body toning. Class is taught by a certiﬁed Zumba Fitness trainer.
