FOLLOWING IS A MESSSAGE FROM GLENDALE POLICE LEAD OFFICER SUE SHINE:
This afternoon at approximately 12:45PM, we received two calls that were likely related. From what we can gather, a burglary occurred in the 2100 Block of East Chevy Chase Drive. Upon only forcing entry into the garage and setting off an audible alarm, the suspect(s) ran out toward the front of the house. An observant resident on Acorn Place called us shortly after this event to report a male running through their backyard. Responding units searched the area, with negative results. The description of the male seen running (Male/African American/ thin build/ close cut hair), matches one of the males described at the San Augustine Burglary last week. We have notified adjoining agencies and will be out on the hunt again. Thankfully, the alarm scared off the perpetrators before they were able to remove any property.
