The Chevy Chase Branch of the Glendale Public Library is the perfect quiet getaway for finding and reading books, perusing periodicals, or just surfing the internet. It’s right next door to Glendale Fire Department Fire Station 23, nicknamed, “The Bat Cave.”
The Chevy Chase Library is also buzzing with monthly events especially for children. Past kids’ events included pumpkin decorating, animal shows, pot-luck dinner and Christmas Caroling parties, fire safety demonstrations, a presentation on the Twilight series of books and movies, and of course storybook readings. All events are presented by the Chevy Chase Library Volunteers, a passionate group of local residents who along with the Chevy Chase Estates Association fought to keep our library open in the face of recent budget cuts.
Chevy Chase Library, it’s the perfect place for kids to discover a love for reading and books. Anybody wishing to be on the e-mail list for library events please contact: firstname.lastname@example.org

Hot Library Tip
If it’s books you desire, children’s or adults’, hot off the presses, scholarly, or deliciously obscure, they are as easy and close as one’s computer keyboard. (Library card required) Just click on the Glendale Library catalogue search right here, pick books from the shelves of the entire combined Pasadena and Glendale library collections, make sure you ask for a Chevy Chase delivery, and in a few days your phone will ring. The nice automated voice from the library will announce, “You’ve got books.” Swing by our Chevy Chase Branch Library and there they’ll be, at the front desk, with your name on them. It’s as easy as Amazon, but it’s FREE. Our local canyon library, use it or lose it.
