Aspiring Eagle Scout Austin Wuthrich reached out to the Chevy Chase Estates Association searching for historical photos of our canyon to use in his Eagle Scout Project that would grace the Chevy Chase Library with historical photos. The CCEA opened up our entire photo collection to Austin and he curated, printed, framed, and hung the photos. He also created an impressive body of digital work documenting his creations that you can see here.
In his words: “The Chevy Chase Library is an integral part of this community, and it really shows in my memory as I look back fondly on times in primary school where I would spend summers up there participating in reading competitions and doing my Flat Stanley project –this is why I am excited to be able to give back to my community through my Eagle Scout project, especially by telling my community’s history.”
Please view his photo and story presentation. Pretty darn impressive. If you know Austin or his family, say thanks for all of us.
