Look, Ma, No Lawn! Are you ready to lose the lawn – or the ivy?
We’ll explain how to take it out and offer alternatives for the space – specifically low-care native plants that need no fertilizer and use a fraction of the water required for turf and non-native plantings. You might just qualify for a municipal water rebate, too! Award-winning horticulturist and garden writer Lili Singer will speak at the Chevy Chase Library on this timely topic for water conservation, Sat. May 9, 12-30-2. Lili is Director of Special Projects and Adult Education at the Theodore Payne Foundation for Wild Flowers and Native Plants in Sun Valley. Thanks to the Chevy Chase Estates Association for sponsoring this event!
